Chocolate Chip cookies
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
INGREDIENTS:
- Plain Flour : 1 cup (125gms)
- Brown Sugar :1/2 cup (75gms)
- Chocolate chips : 1/2 cup (100gms)
- Butter : 1/2 cup (100gms)
- Powdered Sugar : 1/4 cup (40gms)
- Salt : 1/4 tsp
- Baking Soda :1/4 tsp
- Vanilla Essence : 1 tsp
- Egg : 1
METHOD:
- Add butter in a bowl and beat for 1 -2 minutes until soft. Then add powdered sugar in it and beat until mixed properly.
- Now add brown sugar in the mixture and beat.
- When all of the sugar is mixed thoroughly, add 1 egg and mix.
- Add vanilla essence and mix.
- Put baking soda and salt into the flour and pass it through the sieve into a separate bowl
- Now gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture in different portions until well combined.
- Add chocolate chips (1/2 cup) and mix it with a spatula. Also scrape the side of the bowl to mix any remaining ingredient.
- Now cover the bowl with a plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for about 25-30 minutes.
- After it out from the refrigerator, make small balls of the cookies dough with the help of an ice cream scoop onto the baking tray which is lined with baking sheet or wax paper or butter paper. (do not grease the paper). If any batter is remaining store it in the refrigerator for using it later on.
- Now sprinkle the leftover chocolate chips in the cookies.
- Preheat the oven at 180 degree for 25 minutes.
- Now place the tray in the oven for 10-12 minutes on 180 degrees.
- After the cookies are baked, cool them on the wire rack for 10 minutes.
- Enjoy the fresh and soft cookies with coffee or tea or as a snack.
